Jenny recently joined #Safeway workers on the picket line fighting one of America's largest grocers for better pay, staffing and benefits.

Like, how many accounts do you follow a month? Can't be that many. So to fill our feeds, algorithms got good at showing content you might like but don't follow, and in our endless scroll we just couldn't be bothered to hit 'follow' that often. If followers are out, maybe paid subs are up to bat.
Great read if you manage socials.
Is follow count dead? Probs. Growth and success for our clients today is based on non-followers engagement. A post 'flops' when only followers see it.
Platforms all have the FYP as the main feed now, so makes sense.

Workers across Colorado showed up, spoke out, and passed the Worker Protection Act through the legislature. It’s backed by the public. It’s the right thing to do. It’s time for Governor Polis to sign it into law.
This happens when corporations exploit housing (and outdoor spaces) to boost their bottom line.
If housing systems prioritized the voices of renters and workers, housing would be more about need and sustainability instead of reckless profit seeking.

'Modified' or not, right-to-work is an outdated policy that needs to go.
Polis refusing to back the #WorkerProtectionAct sends a message that he's purposefully siding with corporations who've benefited from oppressive RTW laws.
Sign that bill, @govofco.bsky.social

Massive multinational pharma corp: Clearly we can't put a cap on drug prices bc that wouldn't actually impact affordability.

Cutting $880 billion from Medicaid does nothing to address waste, fraud, and abuse. Instead, it abolishes healthcare for millions of people who actually need it.

🚨 The gender wage gap just widened nationally for the first time in 20 years, while Trump rolls back protections for workers facing pay discrimination. In Colorado, women still earn 85¢ for every $1 men make, despite the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. 🧵👇 #EqualPayDay
Screenshot of headline from the Denver Post that reads: "Colorado labor bill may launch a ballot-box arms race as Gov. Jared Polis’ veto decision looms; Senate Bill 5 moves closer to governor’s desk — without a deal — as competing ballot measures filed"
Earlier this week, hundreds of workers & supporters rallied to urge the CO House to pass & Gov Polis to sign the Worker Protection Act. The bill will eliminate CO's second election requirement.
Here's how this law restores workers' bargaining rights:

There are more of us than them. But billionaires have tried to rig our country to take away the power of our numbers, so we can't hold them accountable through unions, in court, or even at the ballot box. We need the power of numbers.
Governor Polis should sign the Worker Protection Act.
As corporations rake in record profits while working families struggle to get by, we've never needed unions more.
CO Dems and @govofco.bsky.social have to show that they stand with working people organizing for their freedoms. There's an easy way to start.
Pass the Worker Protection Act.
Busy week 😮💨
We had a full week of legislative, comms and rally work! Press, digital, odd jobs–you name it.
At the end of the day, the goal is love and compassion for ourselves and each other. That's why we’re so grateful to fight for issues we care about alongside people we love.
Onward!✊

⏰ It’s time for Colorado to remove barriers to unionization
CO is considering legislation to restore workers’ bargaining rights by repealing a 1943 law that has suppressed unionization in CO for decades.
