after much deliberation and writing and re-writing i think i've settled on her summoner abilities basically beginning as a pet class up until about shadowbringers, where they then transition more into a sort of ff16 interpretation of primal abilities in that she can assume the form of the primals

my fave part about writing ffxiv fanfic is i love being able to do whatever the hell i want because my god the official writing sure is spaghetti on a good day

it was also so fucking weird to me that as soon as they solved racism suddenly in dt it's like 'oh yeah we've been besties with beastfolk this whole time'

like as happy as i am that they finally solved the beast tribe racism in endwalker it was done in such a half-assed manner oh my god. you don't even get any kind of unique nod if you've done all the unification quests it's so obnoxious

the echo letting you know all languages really frustrated me because imagine my shock when i made my character first before diving into the msq and one of the traits i gave her was being a polyglot and had to learn the language of various beastfolk through a lot of effort 🫠
