Some good news: I think I finally managed to squash the bugs and all the crashes after hours of testing! But sadly it meant downgrading some visuals causing it, which I am a bit bummed out about.
Otherwise, I think I may be able to add a few more areas/things to the map now before release at least!
Guess thats the price of using such an old engine and being too ambitious every time lol, well I will see what I can do either way.
Unfortunately It seems I may have met my match with this new map
Been fighting all day with crashes most likely being caused by it being so complex and big, I want to add more but I will probably have to start optimizing what I got and try to aim for release soon, hope it will still be good enough.

Doing pretty ok, but the last 10% is usually the hardest, its always "Ohh im almost done!" then you realize there is a lot of very small things that need to be fixed or changed which take way longer than the rest does

I admit, I was definitely inspired to try to learn how to animate them a bit after seeing the ones on your map! I think it adds a little extra life if they move rather than still images.
Haha yeah I made the switch a long time ago, the lighting preview alone has sped up my workflow like 10x, even if its not 100% accurate, its so much faster than needing to compile every small change and "guess" how it will look in game.
Yeah, it has helped at least with lights not taking up a lot of the limits! But I assume it cant bypass the built in limits of 8k brushes and 2k displacements right?
Earlier on a walk today I saw some guy drive by on a scooter, wearing a bag from the grocery store nearby, with a hole cut out on the front for his face, It was raining a lot so it was a makeshift hat I guess lol

A fun thing I noticed with each of my "Weird TF2 Maps", is they are all made during a period im really into a certain game, and it often shows, as there is a lot of memes, music or textures from it, in the map lol
You might be able to tell what game(s) I have been playing with my next one...
