Thank you!! I put a lot of thought into their redesign and making them feel more alien and creature-like :3

- the soft feet are an adaptation for beaches. they like tide pools and shores and dont do super well inland, especially on rocks, since they're invertebrates, which is why arecibo likes to be in snowy places because snow is just cold water and usually snow is soft like sand (sorta.)

WAY more satisfied with this redesign of them because their last one was too humanoid for my liking. Also Random Serathrix Fact’s:
- the rhinophores (Well they're kinda like those? The antennae have a lot of sensory cells that help them sense everything better) usually are like 2-4 in quantity.

Arecibo seems to know more than they let on about everything, but seems to have trouble properly communicating its intricacies to them. - Arecibo is often second-in-command of the group when it comes to experiments, and is sometimes the subject of them if Harper can’t do it. They are close friends with her. - They can be pretty silly, and kind despite their imposing height and often hidden mouth but can equally come off as standoffish and ominous. They really out a lot of effort in trying to not be scary to others despite being a large slug alien.”

Long overdue redesigned refsheet for one of my alien characters, Arecibo, whose species is best summarized as “sea slug centaur.”

Inside the black border is a red and purple Frutiger Metro esque background complete with random paint splatters, spiral flourishes, halftone newsprint and stars. How am I supposed to tell what humans are thinking? They don't have tails.

A refsheet entitled “Harper (Alternate forms.)” In it, it shows a relatively normal arctic fox lady with a lab coat on and some stripes and a striped tail, which is labeled as “Young Harper.” The other one, which is a purple silhouette with white lines and a very glitchy wing with some eye symbols on it, is labeled “Harper (Aura Forme.)” Below it are the general palettes for both, and some design notes (like how the aura form is supposed to be shown as obscenely bright when drawn on a black background and that the wings can be glitchy.) It’s signed Monotheonist 2026 in the bottom right.

Also this is inspired by another piece of art @odo7ta.bsky.social made with Beheeyem involving a city, their Beheeyem art is really cool, highly suggest people go check their art out.
