There was a feeding frenzy this morning. A large flock of Evening Grosbeaks. This was just a small portion of the larger group. They emptied the feeder of seeds in a matter of minutes. 🪶

Bluebirds are already nesting in New Brunswick. This seems very early. Last year there were reports of some chicks not surviving a mid May cold snap.🪶

The hummingbird arrival is running a couple weeks early this year. They've already been sighted as far north and east as Washington County, Maine. Unfortunately there's a cold snap coming. 😬

Here is the radar out of Buffalo, New York from late Friday evening. This isn't rain, it's migrating song birds. Incredible to see. 🪶

There's just no logic in keeping Fredericton and Saint John as commercial air destinations with Moncton being so close to both.

4/5 sounds an awful lot like proposing legislation that could force municipalities into paying for infrastructure e.g. pools.

811 is effectively useless. Their default answer to eveything is "go to emerge". But they'll offer to fax over the details you shared with them like its 1992. 😂

We have enough natural gas and water to become an energy and data center mecca of North America. But will we?

I'm quite okay without it. When connected to the U.S. mobile network I can see that CTV is still posting away on FB, and very little of it is "news". No different for the other two networks prior to being blocked. We can do without the steam of clickbait.

I recall the year I lived in Skyline Acres in 2018 and had to walk the dog daily - most times I was better off on the street. It was eye opening to see how poorly the sidewalks were maintained. Partly due the poor overall condition of them (uneven etc).

Lovely Christmas evening and morning. We did dinner last weekend, so just relaxing today. It snowed this morning bringing a perfect white Christmas. The trees are beautiful.

Our utility company is frustrating. We have trees draped over the powerlines due to ice buildup. I called in today and they said "we'll send someone in 5 days to look at it...and cut it within 30 days if its deemed a risk. 😳
