So, here's the draft of the paper Eric Schwitzgebel wrote in relation to my book. It is funny that the main problem of the paper is the issue I did not write about in my book. But, after reflection, it is most probably true that I should have :)

New paper in draft: Superficialism about Belief, and How We Will Decide that Robots Believe
Superficialism about property X treats the possession, or not, of property X as determined entirely by superficial as opposed to deep facts. Belief should be understood superficially, as determined 1/

This paper took me over a year just to write, not mentioning the reviews etc. at the beginning I thought "oh, I have a nice quick argument" and I ended up writing my typical behemoth of a paper.

the great thing about Philosophical Psychology is that they allow you to submit without any special formatting requirements. kudos to @lisabortolotti.bsky.social for this
cfp for a special issue of philosophical psychology on mental fictionalism - a great way to join a bunch of nice, sane people discussing the most unhinged views in contemporary analytic phil mind (including yours truly, if I beat my procrastination)
"Semiotic Studies" might not be as high in the rankings as many more known journals, BUT it is a purely non-profit, no-fee OA, locally run journal, so you know
Very excited about this: there is a CfP for a special issue of "Semiotic Studies" devoted to anti-realism in phil mind, which is more or less a symposium on my recent book "Unreal beliefs" and many bright people signed on it, so join if you're interested:

In case you missed it - the deadline for submitting abstracts for the next PLM (philosophy of language and mind conference, this year in Prague) is in a few days. This is usually a great event, my presence notwithstanding.

Baffled at this site the same way I was baffled by Twitter - is one supposed to use it for following academic philosophy "news" or to follow international politics etc? Hopefully I will find out at some point :). Hello to y'all
