Also why do we tolerate Presidency by social media posts?

Hm, echoes of Stalin‘s inner circle.
Splashdown confirmed!
Let us welcome the crew of Artemis II back to our pale blue dot.
The New York Times reporting on how Trump and his inner circle came to the decision to attack Iran is so infuriating lmao.
"Ultimately, his inner circle trusted his gut because he'd already gotten away with so much he shouldn't have."
BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE.
YOU!
AHHHH!
"I think we as a species need largely symbolic and inspirational projects like this from time to time, to keep us sane and optimistic and in touch with our humanity." defector.com/artemis-moon...
Not just in PA.
"What can Democrats do?"
When the South Korean president attempted to declare martial law, South Korean lawmakers literally fought through tanks and military forces and climbed fences to get into their Parliament building to stop him.
So, you know, that.
you have to get him out of office and you have to do it today
even if it gets blocked you force an impeachment vote right now
how else can you live with yourself if he follows through with this and you didn’t do everything you could to stop it
"The real threat is a slow, comfortable drift toward not understanding what you're doing. Not a dramatic collapse. Not Skynet. Just a generation of researchers who can produce results but can't produce understanding."
Not that we tried to warn people ICE was going to be everywhere all the time unless they got defunded, but we tried to warn people ICE was going to be everywhere all the time unless they got defunded.

The best explanation and contextualization of the government's tactical failure and moral bankruptcy I've seen yet. No paywall; you're welcome.

One: He isn’t paying for shit because he never does
Two: because he never does and never has, it’s irresponsible to report this like he will
Three: It’s illegal for him to do so and even if it weren’t, the correct answer is for him to pay his goddamn taxes
Colombian President Gustavo Petro has been designated a “priority target”by the US DEA, AP reports.
So Venezuela-Iran-Cuba-Colombia.
The fascist takeover continues apace.
NATO Charter
1. Settle disputes peacefully.
2. Economic collaboration.
3. Members will maintain their military capacity.
4. Consultation if an ally's security is threatened.
5. An attack against one member is an attack against all, triggering action.
There is nothing about supporting a FAFO war.
He thinks he’s going to be President some day.
NEW: Why does gas set the price of electricity – and is there an alternative?
Make yourself a tea (or grab a beer??) and enjoy my Friday longread on marginal pricing, ideas for market reform – & how to break the link btwn gas & power prices for good

Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy.
Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.
Everybody is insane now in the exact same way, and it's both very disturbing and also incredibly tedious.
mind-boggling to me that i still have yet to see a single democrat utter the phrase “every republican president of your lifetime has destroyed the economy and started a war”
That’s right. Those extra steps are all unconstitutional.
Ive said for more than a year that it might be better for Europe if the US left NATO. The US is now bullying and unreliable and would probably not fight for Europe against Putin anyway. Better for Europe to move on, especially with Ukraine a key anchor of its future security
The only party responsible for voter fraud are the party trying so desperately to get this passed into law not because of voter fraud or supposed illegal immigrants voting because the system already prevents that. So the only logical explanation is ( Suppressing the vote) not protecting it.
The answer to that question 🙋 is YES absolutely they do. The one aspect of the Save Act being talked about the least is that states would be required to turn over their voter rolls to DHS which is as you so brilliantly pointed out (redundant data) so the question is ( what do they want it for?)
And a poll tax. Passports aren’t free and neither are the extra steps it takes to fulfill these requirements.
Instead, Congress wants to make every American show up in person with paper documents to prove something Washington already knows. That’s not election integrity. That’s voter suppression with extra steps.
your information is automatically sent to election officials you’re registered unless you opt out. DMVs already verify citizenship when issuing IDs. It’s not a radical idea. It’s a proven system that removes the burden from citizens and puts it where it belongs on the government.
Serious question. Doesn’t our government already know who’s a citizen?
The Social Security Administration, the State Department, DHS, the DMV they all have this data. In fact, the SAVE Act itself uses federal databases to verify citizenship for other parts of the bill.
