Cool robot hand for Vriska from Homestuck. There's a cracked Magic 8-Ball held in her grip with the phrase "Very Doubtful" obscured by the 8-Ball fluid as it seems out of the cracks and onto the floor.

Was dredging through my files and stumbled across this. I first posted this on Tumblr on Dec 19, 2023. I made this after looking at posts about Vriska from #homestuck and getting hit with a mental image so powerful that it made me drop what I was doing and start drawing. idk why the scorpio is long

Also, why do we need the server name at the top of the screen if we already have it at the side. Who was going "yeah, we need the server name in more places. I just want to see the server name but I'm too lazy to look ten centimeters to the right."

(To be fair, I do like the extra-dark and super-dark themes. Those were good additions. What I don't get is why random elements had to be shrunk down and enlarged. There was a good balance of ratios, and now things feel either grotesquely large, like the message box, or ridiculously tiny.)

I drew this about one year ago. I was heavily sleep-deprived, working at a job I hated, and going through some sort of winter funk. Though there are a lot of things that could be improved, I'm in a much better place now than I was then.

These are the most recent finished pieces I've made. I've had the idea for this banging around in my head for quite a while now, but I only just got around to drawing them. I've found that I prefer this style of shading over cross-hatching, partly because it takes a lot less time.

3/x While I like the overall vibe of the image, there are some finer points that I feel I could have done better with. The face in particular has a few things I messed up.

2/x Above the "Mission Designation," there's the "Android Designation," which contains the ID of the ship they're a crew member of, CRS-5. The column of words to refer to SyLF-1E was inspired by the way some people use pronouns interchangeably for animals.

1/x The pictured character is meant to be an android, hence the repeated phrase of "body of steel, veil of flesh." "SyLF-1E" is the "Mission Designation" of the android. SyLF is short for "Synthetic Life Form," and 1E is hexidecimal for 30, meaning that SyLF-1E is the 30th android aboard the ship.

To the left, the phrase "body of steel, veil of flesh, mind of machinery, will of humanity" is repeated. At the bottom, a nametag that looks like tape holds the character's AD (Android Designation), "CRS-5-SyLF-1E," and MD (Mission Designation), "SyLF-1E." The rightmost edge of the page holds a closeup of the character's face as well as a list of pronouns/words that could be used to refer to the character.

Draw your original character in a submarine under an ocean of blood. Put them in a submarine where the door has been welded shut. There are no windows. There is no way to see anything. There is a camera on the front of the submarine. There is something trying to rip apart the sub.

This piece of art (the image on the left) was inspired by a meme shared in a Discord server I'm in (the image on the right). Since I don't have a lot of room to talk about this image in this post, I'll explain some things in a reply.

Note: I added the Fungustober mark to these images in the process of posting them here, which is why it's black and not red.

Left label: Tall as hell Elf. *Incredibly* conspicuous. Right label: Human for scale. Usually inconspicuous, but conspicuous by association.

Left label: Orcish gas station clerk. She has been standing for 7 hours. Right label: Deeply paranoid Elf lady, about to fuck up the Orc lady's schedule (for scale).

These two pieces were originally just little sketches, but I decided I liked them and changed their color. I didn't do this for the text for some reason, which is why it's red--that's the color I do my sketches in.

Strange is the night where black stars rise, and strange moons circle through the skies. But stranger still is Lost Carcosa.

It's been a while, but I'm back and posting more of my art.

This piece was inspired by my amusement at the fact that The King in Yellow is both a fictional book that makes bad things happen when you read it and a real book with stories about the fictional book.

I never actually uploaded this art to twitter, but it's been a bit since I've made it, so I'm uploading it along with other older pieces of #art I've made. This was commissioned by a friend. The direction was roughly "shapeshifter who goes back in time and takes the place of a historical figure"

And this older piece of #art is where my profile picture comes from. The entire idea behind this was "what if discord existed in the universe of #homestuck". This was uploaded to twitter on June 20, 2023, where I noted that "my favorite part of it was drawing the stupid little profile pictures"

and it is only now that I realize I accidentally made it so that the figure on the left was staring directly into the crotch of the figure on the right. whoops

Here's some Gothic words I couldn't fit in the main image. Spear has no attested form in the Gothic corpus, and has been reconstructed from other sources.

Character sheet for a character named Gutila, based on the Visigoths and inspired by Centurii-Chan. Her eyes are angular and are meant to contrast with Centurii. Her hair resembles a spangenhelm when tied up. The image also features a shield, a sword, a spear, and two long darts.

guess I'm here now. I'll inaugurate my arrival here by posting something I just recently finished. This is the character sheet for Gutila the Visigoth, inspired by and featuring Centurii-Chan's Centurii.
