I think having a coherent and compact pressing set up provides even more clarity. Sadly, I'm not sure we get that with the incumbent at this stage.

I don't think he is either, and this kind of collapse is never on one player. I've just never been convinced he has the defensive awareness to play deeper either. Not season after season anyway.
