Once again, schools being expected to pick up the slack caused by the epidemic of shit parenting.

Best of luck.

We here in the UK seem to be far better at dealing with foreign racists than we are at dealing with our domestic ones.

Yes.

That was the joke.

Thanks for joining in, though.

Apparently, Labour MPs are so annoyed with Starmer that they're writing letters of no confidence to the 1922 Committee...

Corbyn had zero understanding of and, if this is possible, even less interest in detail. He didn't listen to people who did detail, he didn't trust them, and he employed others to keep them away. He was utterly useless in any policy discussion. A complete waste of space. He still is.

It's certainly pathetic whataboutism. Just because Johnson got appointed does not excuse Mandelson.

Just finished book 28 of the year. Which one next?

Agreed. It just irritates me when I do it. My grandad always used to say to me that if I don't take my writing seriously why should anyone else?

Since I spent 30+ years programming computers, which requires perfect typing to be of any use, he was absolutely right!

<grin>

Sadly, that's not the definitive answer it appears to be...

Best of luck!

I feel your pain. Sometimes, reading back what I've typed, it's quicker to delete the lot and start again than it is to correct all the fat-finger mistypes.

David Miliband, since you asked. The wrong Miliband got elected, only because of the union block vote.

Things would have been so much better had that not happened. That's where it all went shit-shaped for Labour.

I joined the Labour Party to vote for Corbyn as leader.
I left Labour because he was so utterly useless at it.
I stopped voting Labour entirely because Starmer was no better.

There is only so much disappointment that one political party can inflict upon its supporters before we burn our bridges.

Jesus H. Christ.

Not the brightest and the best, are they? I hope the other candidates are better, or you're in real trouble down there!

Good. It's way beyond time that Israel was held accountable for its appalling behaviour.

Unusual to see circa used for something other than a date. Not incorrect, just unusual.

It makes so much difference if a) the gym's nearly empty, b) the other guy in here is cute, and c) it's clear blue skies outside and bright sunshine streaming through the windows. A good session this morning. Onwards and upwards.

Everybody: "Somebody else needs to invoke the 25th amendment right now."

Result: Nothing ever happens.

I'm not sure you'd be together in the first place, to be honest. There wouldn't even be a second date.

Intelligence-free Artificial Intelligence...

Maybe. Casinos are more prone to being rigged than betting shops, so perhaps casinos is more accurate after all.

Well, the stock market is just a casino for sociopathic cunts, basically.

I've never read a better, or more accurate, description of it than that. Kudos.

My sole scheduled cooking task is pancakes on the appropriate day. He pretty much does the rest. We tend to just do what we each want for ourselves during the week, and the one day of the weekend that we're not out, we like to do a full-blown meal. He's incredibly good at it! I do the washing up...

Oh my, that was good! The Madeira Wine gravy topped it off perfectly. Thank you hubby!

Hubby's cooking our Sunday Chateaubriand and his best-in-the-world roasties. The smell is divine. My mouth keeps flooding.

Oh, I don't think it's limited in any way.

Democracy is a great idea. I look forward to somebody trying it one day.

A true democracy requires an electorate that is both educated and informed.

Sadly, particularly in America and the UK, electorates repeatedly insist on proving that they are neither.

We are heavily out-moroned in both places.
