Long tough work day. Almost home and ready for an episode of The Pitt. It’ll make my day look rather lightweight! 🏥

Oh WOW!
Part 1 of 4 A Peanuts Comic. Once again Lucy has goaded Charlie Brown into trying to kick a football, and (as usual) she jerks the ball away at the last second, sending Charlie flying into the air. This time however Charlie lands heavily on his neck and is killed instantly.
Part 2 of 4 Lucy kicks Charlie Brown to check if he’s dead. Which he is. Exasperated, and worried she’ll be blamed for his death, Lucy begins to drag Charlie’s now lifeless body towards the creek.
Part 3 of 4 Lucy dumps poor ol’ Charlie Brown into the creek and watches him float away.
Part 4 of 4 Lucy heads back to Charlie Brown’s backyard to pick a fight with Snoopy in order to establish an alibi. Unfortunately a disheveled, crumpled man with a cigar is already there. “Miss, have y’seen this dog? He’s best friends with a BIRD. Can you believe that?” That’s right folks. Columbo is here to avenge Charlie Brown.
Lucy van Pelt has finally gone too far. But she will be brought to justice
Remember, kids! Those grades are often bullshit. Brian Wilson only got a C in twelfth grade Piano and Harmony.
From this month’s Fortean Times. I’m sort of in awe
Stegosaurus! It’s all about the magnificent tail.
Also, what kind of po-faced people say I neither like or dislike dinosaurs!
Total belly laughs.
It shifts beautifully as you age.
Loved it. Gorgeous little back street mews space too.
29 years old for Middlemarch, England’s greatest novel. I had to put aside a few years to go sail the seven seas.

There’s more to life than books … but not much more. Ishbel Myerscough.
Was heading to Mayfair on a hot tip from @jacquiwine.bsky.social and @pear-jelly.bsky.social to catch the superb Ishbel Myerscough exhibition at the Lyndsey Ingram gallery. Hints of Holbein’s horizontal Christ, the one that terrified Dostoevsky.
I’ve been reading all about Gustave Caillebotte in the LRB, so what a surprise to see one peering out at me from a Mayfair window.
Friday wanderings. A lazy thread as I sup my maple infused Old Fashioned …
That hit harder than I expected. I saw him in Portsmouth at a really small venue just as Grace broke - ticket stub available on request :-) - and for the first 20
minutes thought he was just showing off … but then the scales dropped.
I was left a bit teary in places and felt both very young & old.
Got them queued up for the bus ride home. I would have put Jeff Buckley on but bloody hell that would feel a bit raw after that doc.
Sitting in the Curzon Soho bar waiting to see the Jeff Buckley doc It’s Never Over, and they’ve just played the Silver Jews and ‘Random Rules’. I guess it’s going to be dead rock stars kinda evening.
“In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection …
Straight onto my list. Thanks, JW.
I’ve read that Trump post too many times today. I’m not going to read it again. I’ve ‘reacquainted’ myself with Sonnet 20 instead. #Shakespeare

Finding myself addicted to the Brisket Spring Roll at Black Bear Burger. It might look like cat litter but it tastes like heaven.
😅
And why not. [Turns Bose speaker on]
