Mike Moser był dyrektorem generalnym organizacji zajmującej się produkcją futer naturalnych - British Fur Trade Association. Pracując tam, starał się bronić i podtrzymywać teorie o opłacalności oraz etyce produkcji futer. Jego poglądy z czasem jednak zaczęły ewaluować i w końcu porzucił biznes futrzarski, tak tłumacząc swoją zmianę: "na początku 2019 roku wyłącznie z własnej woli odszedłem z tej branży, ponieważ nie mogłem już dłużej usprawiedliwiać niedopuszczalnych problemów związanych z dobrostanem zwierząt na fermach futrzarskich.
