I suspect the whole global love vibe of Paris 2024 will be different this year (just a hunch) but we refuse to be deterred from spreading our ridiculous brand of love and joy of human excellence through Olympic sport...
Three weeks til Milan!

We *may* have gone a little overboard with the Olympics outfits this year. You may be asking: "Is that an entire room dedicated to Olympics attire?" Yes, yes it is. But given the state of the world right now, it's been therapeutic to put energies into something fun and positive.
This will not be the only ticket release. If you aren't able to get tickets to your favorite event(s) during this initial draw, be patient. I suspect there will be a few releases.
If you're planning on attending let us know! If you have questions and we might be able to help, just ask!
I believe the actual ticket release will happen later in 2026 (it's typically after the current Olympics conclude which is toward the end of next month) This rolling registration and draw is a way to manage high demand usually.
Once registered you'll receive an email that will assign you to a specific draw time/date for tickets to be released. That assigned date will be first come first served so you definitely want to make your assigned time.
If you're interested in the Los Angeles Summer Olympics in 2028, you'll want to sign up on January 14th (NEXT WEEK) for the ticket draw registration.

We expected 2,000 people out in GOP-held Greeley, Colorado.
11,000 people showed up.
Something special is happening, folks. Now is the time to organize in every dimension possible and get to work.
Title: Both Liberal and Conservative Judges Rule Against Trump Description: A scatter plot showing the rulings of judges against or in favor of Trump, categorized by ideology using the DIME score. The x-axis represents Judge Ideology (DIME Score), ranging from liberal (-1) to conservative (1), and the y-axis represents the case outcome (against or for Trump). • Blue dots represent liberal judges, purple dots represent moderate judges, and red dots represent conservative judges. • Some judges are labeled, including Rudolph Contreras, Lauren King, John Coughenour, and James Emanuel Boasberg on the liberal to moderate side, and Carl Nichols, Richard J. Leon, and Joseph N. Laplante on the conservative side. • A note mentions that Boasberg, though slightly right-leaning, was initially appointed by George W. Bush. • The visualization suggests that judges from both ideological backgrounds ruled against Trump.
1/🧵 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trump—it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.
And what a part it was!
A real bummer. I did it after Oct last year but appreciated their reporting during Trump 1.0 so it's a bummer. My, how the times change.
No, thank you!
Need more outlets for your anger, grief, frustration, insert-other-emotion here? Here's a great recommendation!
Thank you for this. Been searching for credible places to support. Appreciate this!
Donate to ACLU and Democracy Forward (or your favorite Attorney General's re-election campaign) so they can keep up this important work:

Currently the rational judges have a slim 4-3 majority & one rational judge is retiring. So the balance hangs on this race.
Need real tangible ways you can help fight back against the absolute insanity we're experiencing right now? Support *Susan Crawford for WI's Supreme Ct*. This is a critical race and we need to protect our courts at all levels.
I don't know...maybe merging all of our cellphone and mobile data with this guy is a very, very bad idea (apple, T-Mobile, Delta, United all in partnership with Starlink)? Just a hunch...

@marcelias.bsky.social do we have any legit donation sites for fired employees who need legal funds to fight wrongful termination? Or others targeted by this administration? Thought you might know...thanks for all you do.
Your posts alone aren't going to move the needle, I'm sorry to say. That's not a scold. It's simply a reminder that the orgs on the front lines need your hours or your $$$ and that's way more effective than social media posts alone.
Or your volunteer hours work too if you're cash-strapped (and we are all about to be, thanks to Tariffs 2.0.)
Because if not, you're just screaming into the wind. I get it, we need to vent. It's been...a lot. But venting alone ain't gonna change a thing.
I hope all of this social media pontificating is also coupled with donations to the ACLU, pro-democracy orgs, independent media, pro-LGBTQ orgs, pro-choice orgs or your favorite civil rights organization.

Possibly just rhetoric. We are awaiting if that statement goes down in flames or if it takes off.
We've been digital nomads this week in Valencia Spain, laying some ground work for eventual snow birding & then hopefully retirement (or maybe a Plan B America First exit strategy should that need arise). Working until 4 or 5 am has been R.O.U.G.H, but everything else has been perfectly magical.
NEW: The ACLU, Lawyers for Civil Rights and 22 Democratic-led states filed four lawsuits challenging President Trump's executive order revoking birthright citizenship for babies born in the United States whose parents are not citizens. The suits claim Trump's action violates the 14th Amendment.
Ahaha. Yes exactly. I'd prefer to be sent out to clean than keep watching this extended cut as this pace.
