I'm doing a Final Fantasy marathon again at the moment. FF3 PR I think! Never felt that way when playing the 3D remake, but genuinely felt like I was exploring and coming across the most random things while playing FF3 Pixel Remaster. It helps that the story is very vague to begin with

Final Fantasy 2 complete! SERIOUSLY UNDERRATED. I just liked how much of a step up it was from Final Fantasy 1. Like it has the perfect ingredients for an incredible game but executed within the limitations of game storytelling at the time. With the resources of today, it could so much more! RANK: B

Final Fantasy marathon: I'm now on Final Fantasy 2.
Thoughts: Always felt like the opening setup for a game released in 1988 is really underrated. It almost feels like the first example of Square pushing boundaries with their storytelling.

Absolutely! Not even just indie games. There are plenty of games even from larger established studios that are lesser known but equally as incredible and have their own communities. They just don't typically get the headlines.
