Got some quality hobby time in this weekend.

Broke my months long gaming drought today with an afternoon of Fireball Forward set in 1940 East Africa. My British force failed to overrun the Italian defences in a fast, challenging and exciting game.

We really enjoyed the game so much so we’re intending to buy the extended trilogy edition with the extra board including Gondor and Mordor

The thematic and two player rules combined with a board that creates choke points makes for a very different game with the journey of the One Ring across the board imposing a time limit on play.

It’s been a long time since I last played Risk. I’ve had the Lord of the Rings edition sitting about for years now but hadn’t really got it out. While I was away recently the Wife made an impulse buy of a table suitable for playing board games so we christened it with a game of Risk #Wargaming
