Exciting times! I recently received this collection of planes.
They're not in the best condition, rust, missing parts even a chipped mouth... But I'm excited to try and get these tools back in working order!

How do you dispose of your plane shavings?

I have a pile slowly building up... Considering an incinerator bin.

Top tip: Wax your planes!
My current workshop environment is less than ideal to say the least.
Yet with a little candle wax, I can take shavings thick and fast without my "workbench" moving anywhere!

Broke out The Woodworking Shed sharpening system for the first time!

A little nervous honing the edge on a brand new chisel, having never sharpened a tool before! But it turned out pretty well.

I got a burr, a shiny finished, and it cuts effortlessly!

Never owned a carpenter's square until now, and honestly, how did I live without it?! Squares, angles, offsets – it's absolutely incredible.

And one thing's for sure: with this colour, I'm never losing it! 📐

Which marking & measuring tool can't you live without?

Haha 😂
You have to change a belt over I can see that from the images I've been sent.
But! It is speed adjustable so nothing stopping us adding a second belt in the name of efficiency!

I sussed this out in the most unlikely of places! An old woodworking machines book came up on vinted and check the front cover!

This machine is the Major Coronet 12 Function Woodwork Lathe. Mystery solved!

You reckon? I thought the brace looked well past it! I only wanted the bits haha

That's reassuring. I'll try to clean them up and I'll need to buy an auger file too!

Spotted these on Vinted for £8 so picked them up!
I don't think the brace will be much good but I'm hoping the auger bits can be cleaned up nicely!

Bad buy or have I saved myself a small fortune?
