if you buy the water works you can't lose the game, you just keep getting given money when you run out
Every fuppin time. Story of climate breakdown accompanied by a nice picture of people at the beach.
This is not a good news story.
Farage plays them like a fiddle.
I think England has always had a racist/bigotry element just below the surface. It became less overt over the years but was always there. Spoken in private or behind closed doors.
Farage comes along and allows the hatred to pour out.
Loathe the man.
Trouble is that councils have struggled for years. Always had problems. So voters just see it as the same old thing and will vote for bigots that represent their views anyway.
I'm in SE Kent and Reform have screwed up so badly so they're highlighting asylum seekers again.
Sadly it works.
Mountain hard and big, water no up. Many many dig dig
Happy birthday Spag 🎉
Not enough flowers in the world for the amount of shit caused.
Happy IWD though.
if the media had any integrity — and it doesn’t anymore — they’d be pointing out on a loop that Obama made a deal with Iran, Trump cancelled it because Obama is Black, and then Trump started a war on the pretense there is no deal
@nathithehumbleguy on threads: Ladies if you're always walking around with earphones or headphones on whether jogging or at the mall don't be surprised if no one approaches you. Most guys won't ask you to take them off just to start a conversation. Sometimes you might be blocking more than just the noise
he’s so close to getting it
When you put it like this, a $75 million bribe to Melania and gutting the Washington Post seems like a small price to pay.
The biggest thing with Farage is that he's made it ok for people to be bigoted. That it's now ok to discriminate and be prejudiced against others.
It's always been in this country but Farage (and his backers) picked at that scab and now it's a nasty wound.
The drunk uncle theory.
You don’t argue with the casually homophobic uncle at Thanksgiving dinner to change his mind; you argue so that the closeted cousin at the kids table knows there’s safe people and better possibilities out there
I live in SE Kent which is run by Reform UK. It's been a disaster but Reform are still really popular.
They blame this Labour government and the previous Tory government for any issues.
Never Nigel and Reform.
They can't do the job but say the right things.
Something magnificent about Kemi Badenoch's self-confidence, and her claim that the Mandelson affair is entirely down to her asking questions at PMQs. Like a toddler who thinks their plastic steering wheel is controlling the car.
Sen. Gallego: Trump is suing your agency for $10 billion. Where would that $10 billion come from?
Bessent: The general fund
Sen. Gallego: So, taxpayers.
Bessent: Yes
Think it means Alex's nursing student at work. So they've paid tribute to Alex and that's being shared?
Downfall Bovino Edition. You're welcome.
If Trump reduced the UK tariff to 5%, Starmer would thank him and kiss his feet.
Trump has got Starmer where he wants him. Because he knows Starmer needs to pretend there's collaboration between the UK and US. There isn't.
Well, Starmer now looks even more of a moron for arranging Trump to have a second state visit doesn't he?
The Brexiters haven't learned. They've dug in, refuse to accept they voted for a lie and will keep at it.
Ask any Leaver what benefits Brexit brought us and they can't name any.
Yet they don't regret it at all.
Robben had injury issues yes but he was infuriating to watch at times. Just wanted to go it alone.
Real turned his head early on as well and he was always looking to leave. Meant I didn't mind when he left.
Miles better than Madueke though.
He needed to learn how to involve his teammates.
Remember Robben for us? Amazing when it came off but he pissed all his teammates off by going it alone constantly.
He needed to go to Real and Bayern to develop into a real star.
Similar to Madueke I think.
I've given up on seeing any managerial stability with Chelsea.
I'd like it if, say Rosenior, comes in and is given 5 years to build the team up. But game doesn't work that way now. Has to be instant success.
Arteta has lasted longer than I expected though,so good for him.
Chelsea have a similar power structure to United, which is why Maresca got frustrated and kicked off. Amorim wouldn't last a month with Chelsea.
Seeing United going through this is fun, however I'm a fan of Chelsea and the manager stuff is never enjoyable.
I heard Donnarumma was willing to drop his high wage demands once it got closer to the season. That the issue was around his ability to play out from the back, I don't know.
Cudicini is my all time favourite keeper so Italian gloves are fine for me.
I'm not a big fan of Sanchez either but Jorgensen (and Petrovic before him) have proven he's the best we have.
Should have gone for Donnarumma when made available.
Has it been said why Robert Sanchez isn't involved today? Jorgensen can't even take goal kicks.
🇺🇸 Trump: Putin wants Ukraine to succeed.
And Zelensky’s reaction…
Not many things in life will have you pumping your fist in the air, but watching little Tommy Robinson’s (Stephen Yaxley-Lennon’s) face and bravado drop when he gets called out for his racism and hypocrisy by boxer Ty Mitchell is one of them.
This is glorious. 🔥
