Best long road trip, all over the UK and Ireland with the family. Everyone there thought we were nuts, they may have been right! Edinburgh (+ up to Glencoe), York, Lake District, Colwyn Bay, Holyhead ferry to Dublin, then across Ireland to the Cliffs of Moher and back. Tired just typing it all out!

Worst long road trip. From Lompoc CA to Minneapolis in the car my in-laws were letting us use in grad school. In January, 1998 (I think?). Found out that Northern Arizona is cold, actually, and that ice storms are a thing (in Iowa). all in 2 days. that sucked.
