Ilkley garden

Listening to Don Giovanni looking across| the valley at pinpoint lights of fellow residents I don't know, but whose lights bouncing in rain seem vaguely signalling the unease of today. Dark garden occasionally illuminated as rodents cross.
The Don is about to have his comeuppance.
It is beautiful.

Nothing better than sitting in the dark looking over Ilkley Moor listening to Mozart. While the world tears itself apart.
Now the moon has disappeared behind a cloud for a while perhaps deciding to ruminate on its visitors this week who flew past
But didn't linger.

Great evening at Chelsea College London tonight with the great and good of British fashion; the celebration of Texplusuk as a charity, marked by an inspiring talk by international guru Li Edelcourt . Brilliant start for winners of textile monetary prizes and huge opportunities

Glastonbury Neil Young
A feeling of goodwill came from the television screen with 1000s of people in a great stream of humanity none of them seeming to wish any ill will to anybody else.Neil Young's wistful voice instantly. Recognisable - magic

Glastonbury started for me this week
Glad I stayed up last night in the early hours of my own little Glastonbury in the front room listening to Neil Young and his decrepit looking band. Worth it for the insistent repetition of 60s and 70s type peace and love, and now environment goals.

What about Port Talbot and Trostre and its culture? South Wales mourned its culture as much as North East England with no repeal.

Sartorial reflection
Many men dressed in black at Trump inauguration, closely followed by a bright blue.
Most with white shirts and plain red ties .

Uncertainty in every continent at the start of the new year, in almost every area.
Pitti Uomo opened in Florence Italy showing optimism despite many negatives on the horizon
A serious commitment to issues of environment sustainability and responsibility is acting as a great advantage, so far.
