its viewership is minimal. its commitment to local, "unbiased" news is dubious at best. it may be the most important cable news channel in the country, thanks to its powerful parent company, Nexstar. my behind-the-scenes look at NewsNation, an exemplar of how the TV industry actually works in 2026:
The indigenous drone manufacturers in Nigeria, Terrahaptix Inc. (also referred to as Terra Industries), are looking at an expansion move that would take it beyond its borders to one of the strongest markets in West Africa, Ghana.
Terrahaptix Inc., a Nigerian drone manufacturer, is expanding to Ghana to establish its first facility outside Nigeria, targeting the growing West African security market. The new Accra-based center will produce autonomous aircraft and defense systems in response to escalating Islamist-militant operations in the region. The Sahel region is experiencing increased terrorist activity, with militants using advanced drone technologies that challenge traditional defenses. Terrahaptix raised $34 million in rapid funding rounds, led by Lux Capital, bringing its valuation above $100 million in under two years.

Forbes launched ForbesPredict in January as part of an effort to reverse declining traffic from search engines and keep users on its website longer.
Now, on a story about about a Louisiana man that killed 8 children, they’re asking you to predict if Congress will do anything about it.
It’s a topic we thought Bolts readers may have a lot of questions about, so we turned to Andrew Guthrie Ferguson, a law professor and author of the new book “Your Data Will Be Used Against You.” Ferguson researched how modern policing is tracking personal data, and how digital surveillance technology can be weaponized to threaten personal freedoms. “You are, at best, a warrant away from having your most intimate personal details revealed to a government agent looking to incarcerate, embarrass, or intimidate you,” he writes in his book. Ferguson has agreed to answer questions from Bolts readers—so now we want to hear from you.
All of our personal data is increasingly tracked & surveilled. A new book (“Your Data Will Be Used Against You”) breaks it down.
We asked its author, @profferguson.bsky.social, if he'd answer your questions on the risks & what it means for politics & liberties. He agreed.
So ask him anything!
US Southern Command: On April 19, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations. Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed. @DeptofWar #OpSouthernSpear UNCLASSIFIED

The Presidential Seal can be used anywhere in 2026...even at hate rallies that disparage fellow humans held in the shadow of a crucifix.
So cringe. I’ll entertain McMorrow for senate when Slotkin is up for re-election, maybe.

Last year, in a conversation with two of his own law clerks, recent law school graduates chosen for their conservative views, Justice Thomas said he intended to remain on the Court until the year 2034. Why that long? one asked. Because that would give him a 43-year term, he replied, according to the clerk's account, explaining, "The liberals made my life miserable for 43 years, and I'm going to make their lives miserable for 43 years."

Finance reports reveal the explosive growth of new power players stockpiling hundreds of millions of dollars to shape congressional elections.
In a fun fact, the Meta PR person who ignored many emails about this party and how Meta interprets the phrase "save the West" is Francis Brennan, previously a director of strategic response for Donald Trump's 2020 campaign.
To top it off, she’s a hot dog heiress on top of ex-CIA lmao
NEW: We obtained the government’s settlement agreement with Michael Flynn.
As previously reported, DOJ agreed to pay $1.25 million to settle Flynn’s claims that he was wrongfully prosecuted.
But docs suggest a separate settlement could be in the works: www.lawfaremedia.org/article/u.s....
NPR journalist David Folkenflik writes that this donation, and another $33 million from an anonymous donor, “were intended for specific purposes, not to build the endowment or to expand news coverage.”
YouTube’s time management settings now have an option to put a zero-minute time limit on Shorts, effectively removing them from your app in Android and iOS. The option is an update to the Shorts timer YouTube originally announced in October; the lowest previous option was 15 minutes.

A tweet from Representative Thomas Massie that reads: I just viewed 2 Top Secret FISA docs. 1) FISA Court opinion that raises serious concerns about FBI implementation of FISA 702. 2) letter by Senator Wyden describing a secret government interpretation of FISA law. The Constitution requires I vote No on FISA 702 reauthorization.
I sent a classified letter to House and Senate colleagues about a secret interpretation of surveillance law that every American should be concerned about.
Representative Massie is right. The Constitution requires EVERY member to vote against a clean reauthorization.
Voting on spy powers at 2am will definitely help with trust in the government!
