๐ŸงตSpotted at a Small All Ages Music Gig in Aotearoa New Zealand:

A very serious looking teen (15?) is standing against a wall, watching the lead singer of an awesome band* own the stage.
Every now and then, Dad putting a hand on Teen's shoulder. Checking in.
Stoic cool nod.
Yeah, this is okay. (1)

๐Ÿ“ข Canadaโ€™s latest greenhouse gas data is out, and it shows Albertaโ€™s lack of progress.

While national emissions fell 10% since 2005, Albertaโ€™s rose 4%, driven by โฌ†๏ธ oilsands pollution.

โŒ› The MOU deal on strong industrial carbon pricing and other climate policies is overdue. #abpoli

Canada MP DESTROYS Trump in MAJOR SPEECH on WAR!!! YouTube video by MeidasTouch

Trump threatened to destroy an entire civilization.
He has said he can do what he wants with Cuba and threatened the pope.
Canada shares a 9,000 kms border with a nation that is not under the rule of law.
These are my 10 steps Canadians must take to stop tyranny.

Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas came out with some pretty strong words against Alberta separation โ€” and in favour of immigration as a strength for the city โ€” in his remarks at a Calgary Economic Development event yesterday:

Using Spotify is just as bad as using X, in some aspects, even more consequential: Spotify is actively killing music, not just exploiting musicians. All other streaming platforms are better, and have as wide a choice. Migrating your playlists is dead easy. Please leave that evil platform - now.

Today, we celebrate the achievements of transgender, Two-Spirit and non-binary people.

Today is also a reminder that not everyone is free to live their lives safely. Many still face hate and discrimination, and struggle to access the life-saving health care and supports.

This black-and-white photograph depicts two women walking along a street carrying large wicker baskets. They are dressed in late 19th-century attire, with long skirts and shawls.

The street is lined with terraced houses featuring iron railings, and a gas street lamp is visible in the background.

It's #WomensHistoryMonth ๐ŸŽ‰

As usual, I'll be sharing ordinary women's stories.

I like writing about these women. They didn't do anything the world would deem spectacular.

They were just everyday people going about their lives. Surviving the way they knew best.

"Sport has the power to unite Canadians, build stronger communities and support well-being across the country. Our government believes in a sport system that provides opportunities for all Canadians, including the transgender community, to participate in sport and excel without discrimination.
We are aware of the International Olympic Committee's recent policy decision. While international and national sport organizations operate independently from government, we will work closely with our sport partners to review the impact of this decision on Canadian athletes.
Our priority is to ensure there is a path forward for sport in Canada that preserves the integrity and fairness of sport categories while promoting equal opportunities and respecting human rights.
Together, we will lead with the empathy, respect and care that all Canadians deserve."

China flipped buses electric: ~700k+ e-buses (~90% global), ~80% new energy, ~100% new sales electric. Backed by LFP + solar depots. This isnโ€™t transportโ€”itโ€™s energy system change. Less diesel, fewer imports, no oil chokepoints. Decarbonisation = energy independence โšก๐Ÿ”‹ #Bettrification

"With a deep, resonant voice & hangdog face, he made his name in the mid-60โ€™s in Greenwich Village. He was so revered that Bob Dylan once opened a show for him."
