Super wide crosswalks are most welcomed, but it’s not looking promising for the promised Dartmouth St two-way separated bike lane. Stop bars now stretch all the way across the street, including where a buffer and the contraflow direction of the bike lane would be. Any word @streets.boston.gov?
Relocated Bluebikes station on Cambridge St
Good morning, @ridebluebikes.bsky.social riders! The “Cambridge St - at Columbia St / Webster Ave” station is temporarily relocated nearby on Cambridge St in front of the Shell station to accommodate Eversource work. It will return once work is completed (they estimate 1-2 weeks).

When I worked in city hall I was leaving late one winter night when a bird flew right by me near ground level and slammed into the third floor entrance glass, immediately dying. It was a woodcock. Super sad, it was a gorgeous bird.

People work hard to at least get us this far and I thank them. But in Boston the overall response for walking and biking has been poor. A week out, so many intersections impassible. I’ve seen one bike lane plowed on my routes. Very disappointing from this admin, who has flipped hard on biking. 🤷♂️
