Thank you, this is now on my viewing list. I'm hoping for a cross between 'Three Salons in Blackpool' and Victoria Wood's 'Is it on t'trolley?'

They wanted me to spend £9.95 on a 'free' router so I said no and they said I could have it for nothing!
Seem to have spent my entire morning renewing our broadband contract only for things to stay exactly as they are for another 2 years. Not sure whether to begrudge the time that feels wasted or rejoice in not having increased bills!
I was today years old when I discovered that the fingers on my right hand are not the same sizes as on my left. If ever I have to order a 'finger of whiskey' I will use middle finger, left hand as a measure!
If there was a category for 'book that surprises every time you read it' (and why isn't there?) I'd like to nominate After the Funeral. A super, underrated, book.
Following my moans last week re not getting post, we got an avalanche of it yesterday including the missing birthday cards, a hospital letter, two from Govt departments and others that Royal Mail obviously consider non-essential. I stand by my claim that they're not fit for purpose.
The chap charged with ensuring porn sites comply with OFCOM regulations is called George Lusty. It's a job he was born to!
Porridge for breakfast?
Pizza Express, Woking have just had a cancellation for a birthday party this evening if anyone's interested. Seems AMW will be unable to honour the booking.
Kind of him to offer though!
I haven't - yet. But when I do, I'll delete this one too. I'm finding all social media fairly toxic right now.

Kemi will be giving a speech about it any minute.
Nasty.
Interesting. What happened - or didn't - at breakfast?
Happy New Year to one and all.
Oh shit.
Time for my annual rant about the cost of house insurance. Renewal quote is +£240 on last year and we've still never made a claim in the 23 years we've lived here. Harsh. My weekend will be spent shopping around. All suggestions gratefully received!
Today I have discovered that a generous dollop of Boursin stirred through when heating elevates an ok bubble & squeak to a thing of beauty. You're welcome!
Quite. I'm sorry. It's just that the reindeer I've seen have been different. No less beautiful, obviously. Just different.
I hadn't realised reindeer were so small. Or labrador-ish. Silly me...
Thank you, Tim. And thanks for the books. Keep them coming!
Merry Christmas. x.
I'm sure he was completely unconcerned at your level of discomfort!
Comfortable.
Brilliant!
We did, thanks. Might not feel quite the same tomorrow when I'm the one with the hangover!!
Staff Christmas lunch today. Otherwise known as me and the Beloved in Spoons. One of us barely drinks and the other is barely sober. 'Twas ever so...
I think you're crediting the gorgeous but thick choc thug with more brain cells than she could ever aspire to. More to be pitied than blamed...
Now I know why the Government is skint. Just received a letter from the DWP telling me I'll be eligible for the state pension in June 2030, and that they'll contact me 4 months ahead of my due date! What a monumental waste of money...
And by 60 it has become the nectar of the Gods.
