Iād say thereās zero chance INEOS let him get into his last 12 months of his contract - heās essentially a lame duck if they do. He either gets a top 6-7 place which the board will see as progress and (inexplicably) give him a new deal, or they boot him in the summer.

1-0 up at home against 18th in the table and youāre taking off your striker for a (rubbish, sorry) defensive midfielder with 15 to go, promptly concede, then use your last change to swap one centre-back for another. Boring, negative, gutless - absolutely not a United manager
You sack him now and take your licks for the decisions around appointing him in the first place or you sacrifice another season, with all the financial and reputational damage that entails. Your move INEOS
Still, won the xG battle. The Amorim-in lads must be buzzing. Deserves a 5 year contract I reckon
We havenāt though have we? Weāve played maybe 3 decent halves all season if weāre being totally honest. What are you seeing which makes you think this is worth persisting with? Itās not ātoys outā to be questioning a guy whoās only winning 1 in 4 nearly 12 months into the job.
Honestly, it is absolutely incredible he was allowed to carry on after Grimsby. Doesnāt learn from his mistakes, no back to back wins after nearly 12 months, 25% win rate, negative style of football. It all reeks of another interim appointment and another season written off in November.
Iām absolutely convinced we wouldnāt be saying that if he was playing in his actual position under a competent manager.
Seeing lots of frustration with Amad, Bruno and Shaw - which I get, theyāve been poor. But ultimately all three are playing out of position to accommodate a system which continues to minimise our strengths and maximise our weaknesses.
Yup, think heās walking. His response there was basically āI canāt work in these conditionsā
Now, I think thatās a massive cop out personally but Iām pretty sure thatās what he means
3 or 4 more? Surely not? Losing to a fourth division club, the performance in general, a cup gone when thereās no European football, a route to Europe already cut off, the wide open spaces on the pitch near enough throughout against lower league opposition. Do we really need to see any more?
Does make you question the whole charisma stuff we hear about him. Anyone can talk a good game, but at some point you have to show itā¦
Thought it was really poor. Needlessly creating a rift between him and his players
He was hiding in the dugout the whole time too. Cowardly both on and off the pitch. Laters Ruben, you wonāt be missed.
āThe good times are comingā
Itās why I canāt warm to the manager. Unitedās entire identity is based on academy products playing attacking football by making the most of what you have available.
But for some reason weāve been brainwashed into believing we need to suffer in order to implement the (dubious) ideas of one man.
I know Iām in the minority but I think United need to be brutal and end the Amorim experiment now. He has admitted himself he only knows one way to play, and his inability to change things when that way isnāt working (which is basically all the fucking time) is an enormous red flag.
Wish I shared your optimism mate, but Ten Hag had all of those issues last year and had us in 8th - and we were all (rightly) pissed off about it.
I donāt think any of us were expecting a title charge when he came in but our only wins at home this calendar year have come against sides already relegated. His players or not, itās abysmal and he needs to shoulder a lot of the blame.
Amorim is losing the moderates. Regardless of what happens in Bilbao the board have a big decision to make. Can you justify spending £200m for a manager who has shown almost no signs of improving the squad since coming in?
A huge proportion of the fans have been gaslit into thinking the Europa run excuses everything else weāve seen since he came in. It absolutely doesnāt, and itās perfectly reasonable to be questioning his position.
Them players and team shouldn't be this bad and in this position.
That is on the manager and tbh I am losing faith big time in him
The worst goalkeeper weāve ever had. Donāt let him on the fucking bus home
Two most important players on the pitch are your goalkeeper and your centre forward. And both of ours are dog shit. Ten Hag set us back about 5 years with his signings.
Iāve watched that match about 30 times this season, and not just when United are involved. 22 risk adverse robots running around for 90 minutes, and weāre supposed to believe the sport is the best itās ever been? Zzzzz
They stayed up with 32 points last season, and thereās serious football people out there trying to convince us the standards have never been higher. Do me a favour.
Great club Forest, but youāve got to start questioning the overall quality of the league if theyāre the third best team in it.
Genuinely mind-boggling we havenāt managed to win that. A proper number nine and we score 3 or 4 there. Some signs of progress though, Garnacho very good I thought. On to Thursday š“āŖļøā«ļø
Would like to see Garnacho and Obi in the front 3 on Wednesday. Would equally like to see Hojlund thrown in the river Mersey after that performance.
I just donāt buy that this system is so complicated that itās acceptable for it to be this bad though. These players have played for multiple managers at different clubs/national teams all playing different systems. I understand it was never going to be seamless but it shouldnāt be this bad surely?
Iām not disagreeing with you that theyāre shit - they absolutely are and I fucking despise them. But theyāre not 15th in the league level of shit and itās perfectly fine to question why the manager seems to be getting even less out of them than his predecessor.
