A good day to spin my Jamaican pressings of Burning Spear’s ‘Marcus Garvey’ and Black Uhuru’s ‘Showcase’.

You need to fess up, otherwise the trump administration is going to take 10% ownership in The Onion.

100% And, it’s not available on streaming services. I ripped my CD years ago, so have a digital copy on my computer.

I forgot to tag @aquariumdrunkard.com in my post. Their recent run of dub related posts is what prompted me to crank up Arkology today.

Subscribing to the print issues of @theonion.com is one of the best decisions I’ve made this year.

Thanks for highlighting Danny G. Mostly forgotten about these days, so nice to see the post. Question: Eugene put out my fav album of 2004 (My Favorite Revolution). He put out "A Week Of Sundays" in 2020, but it's only streaming. Ask him if I can buy a lossless download (to listen to in my car). :-)

With O'Neill (apparently) taking over CDC (if they ever get around to firing Monarez), I think it's worth looking back to Project 2025 and asking what they actually intend to *do* to CDC. So, I went to remind myself today. Here's what's in store:

I was lucky enough to see the first big band show - Heatwave Festival, August 23, 1980. Nobody in the audience knew what was about to transpire. Started out as the 4 piece band, then kept bringing out additional musicians. And playing songs we’d never heard. My mind was blown. My favorite concert.

As a retired tax professional with close to 40 years experience, I can say with 100 percent confidence that we didn’t need a “clever new study”. It’s been blatantly obvious for decades.

The Trump/DOGE fallout begins.

A total classic.

I think it’s high time we take back the national narrative. For centuries Americans of all races, genders, religions, and abilities have worked to create a more perfect union, and we should shout from the rooftops that WE are America. Not these idiot white supremacist authoritarians.

You need another quote … Morrissey is a right-wing nut.

It’s pretty fair. It’s the reason even registered Democrats have an unfavorable view of the party. Maybe some Democrat politicians will start to follow Newsom’s lead (he’s certainly far from perfect, but at least he’s putting up a fight).
