I mean, that's the entire gambit right?!
I don't actually get why this seems to short circuit so many people. Souped up autocomplete could in the limit answer any question.
Plus an S&S ISA is tax free up to £20k a year. Absolute no brainer.
Also seems utterly self-defeating to sit accruing 3% interest when we've had almost 5 years of +3% inflation. Not only is someone at the bank using your money to pay for coke and cars, you're paying them!
There’s a really quite strong tendency on all sides to think that any future EU referendum will be kind of like the last one.
Nice legislature you got there. Be a shame if someone created an unelected third tier and ruined everything
Clearly you don’t realise how bad things have got here
Stephen Miller almost says that Trump is seeking a "final solution" in Iran but then catches himself
Haha absolutely. If only they all had to wear the Australia blazer too
Big props for the bob hawke bag. love that place!
Just keep at it to 50 and then transition to academia as a professor in practice and watch the good times roll
Tbh they should just allow parties/slates and then use a list-based system to reduce the decisions people need to make
Seems we always tend to worry that machines will make us stupider (from 1948)
"I do not have that"
So you’re saying he’s free to speak at the next APSA?
Academia: same as it ever was
Weird that’s were having to deal with energy scarcity and energy abundance *at the same time*
I have hundreds of stories that I could reel off but -- as an educator -- probably best not to 😅
I had a bottle of that once that looked positively Soviet. It was just a white label with "Vodka" written on the front.
They didn't have these goods at home, so had to use communal alternatives. But out of that came community: people spent time talking in between washing clothes. I wouldn't want to go back to that, but it is striking the price we sometimes pay for our collective success.
I think about this a lot. I think it also explains a lot of the social atomisation that we see. I went to Victoria Baths up the road from me in Manchester recently and was struck by the fact that it used to also house bathtubs and washing machines. People would literally go and bathe there.
If you try it with ChatGPT, try it in Codex rather than the chatbot. Codex is excellent as far as I can tell.
What app is this?!
No amount of gerrymandering will fix that
I think an interesting side-effect of the approach that I take---which accounts for house effects---is that it suggests that the Green share in the other averages is probably overstated due to *who* is doing the polling.
Happy Hungarian election day!

Perhaps. But I still think Pyramid Song (which is primarily piano) is their best track, so I’m not so sure. Think I’m more into the weirdness, one part of which is the electronics
