Yesterday at @isdglobal.bsky.social, we published Uisce Faoi Thalamh: An Investigation into the Online Mis- and Disinformation Ecosystem in Ireland.
The research is based on an analysis of 13.2 million online posts from 1,640 accounts posted on 12 platforms between Jan 2020 and April 2023.
Massive disagreement about policing most powerful AI in EU AI Act - after ~3 yrs of talks & weeks before a deadline.
Takeaway 1: real consensus about AI policy remains remote. Work must continue, deal or no deal.
Takeaway 2: corporate logics loom large - too large.
