Since everything is a sandwich. I presume an ice cream cone is meant, which at least here in Europe can be quite good when served by a dedicated ice cream parlour.
You will have no doubts if there are bedbugs!
What strikes me the most is the miserable attitude to discredit someone based on your laziness. If you don’t have time, lost interest and only want to get done with it, literally writing: „this is excellent work, accept“ is quicker, than prompting, genuinely built on trust and also just positive.
We are happy to announce that this year's SwitZerland's Image and Data Analysis School (ZIDAS) edition will take place in person at EPFL July 5-10, 2026.
We are looking forward to an interesting and inspiring week of bio-image analysis. The application process will start soon.

What I understood is that it seems that events have a BIOS, presumably before they boot into access to attendees and I don’t know why one would want to add that information there.
Schools don’t incentivise learning yourself. The assignment are graded. Form is emphasised over content. Where do you reward making mistakes and learning yourself? There is no moral high ground in stating it makes no sense, if the institutions are literally asking for the opposite.
I am not sure I see that. There is a race to the common denominator on how to present the findings pushed by colleagues, reviewers, editors and the fear to be accepted and funded. Publish or perish has side effects towards the how to publish.
Captain Haddock looking very frazzled, saying, “What a week, huh?” Tintin leans into the frame and says, “Captain, it’s Wednesday.” Snowy aka Milou is very excited about the drink he has found.

Great. 👍 It is mostly muscles and hardly fat. It’s what makes them dangerous.

How is the fan helping anything in vacuum. Getting rid of heat is hard in space.

Unpopular opinion but wouldn’t all off Señor Coconut releases qualify as better covers ?

Shouldn’t we be more embracing the imperfections and go with the science is communicated in broken English - spoken slowly equivalent of formatting?
I fully agree and I appreciate a professional carried approach.
However, it’s about science and content. If the AI chatbot revolution told me anything, the hard focus on style is at times is not helpful.
Why not provide ebook files, leaving the choice of font to the reader ?
Also likely the better standard than pdf, just saying.
At least you looked good.
Sometimes that’s all we got.
Professor @mancusorenzo.bsky.social just presented his new work at #NHD25.
Some of his key findings include:
• GRN LOF→ microglial overactivation and lysosomal failure
• Lysosomal failure → microglial degeneration eventually worsening neuropathology

Belgium had the seat in Europe during that time and is was considered a very productive period!
Also, similar to large genomes redundancy adds resilience !
