Excited to share my paper published today in @cp-immunity.bsky.social! We find that when CTLs integrate antigen and cytokine signaling, the timing of these cues matters - shedding light on an old question: Why do NK cells sometimes behave like CD8+ T cells?

Trying a slightly new model (for us at least) of #openscience. With @ronanchaligne.bsky.social and @karolisk.bsky.social, we pitted 10x Genomics Chromium GEM-X against Illumina PIPseq V head-to-head to understand these two platforms for single-cell genomics. Some thoughts off the bleeding edge: /1

Happy to share that the preprint to our new scATAC-seq multiplexing method, MULTI-ATAC, is officially online:

I decided not to do a postdoc with a Nobel laureate for personal reasons, but this decision had unanticipated benefits for my career.

Hello Community,
We’re excited to announce that we’re moving to Groningen in January 2025 to embark on a new chapter in our research careers. For this, we need a house/flat and we hope to find a nice place with your help.
I'm incredibly honored to have received this recognition. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making the evening so special :)
A short intro to the many new followers gained at 🦋:
🧪🔬we are a diverse team of researchers driven by curiosity, dedicated to understanding immune regulation in disease & cancer & exploring new strategies for immunotherapies 🩺⚕️
❤️ all things spatial; DCs, T cells, NK cells & single cell analyses.
We tackle these and other questions using different genomics and in vitro approaches applied, mostly analyzing human samples, so there's more to come hopefully soon!
These findings raised a lot of questions on the factors driving activation, clonal selection, and persistence. We recently laid out some thoughts and perspectives in this review onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
To introduce myself and what I do: in my PhD @romagnanilab.bsky.social, I found that human NK cells maintain clonal immune memory to CMV infection www.nature.com/articles/s41...
