In this new study, we find young adults don’t manage media by platform but by purpose: being in the loop, maintaining connection, and zoning out. They balance informational, emotional and social needs, and make moral distinctions between "good" and "bad" media.

This article shows the limits of informed consent in data donation. Participants valued seeing their own data, yet often misunderstood the process, overlooking ways to control or delete information.

Data donation is hot, but do participants understand what they consent to? Using think-aloud protocols and interviews, we found many missed key features like searching and deleting data. To improve informed consent, we suggest adding (some) friction through play ⏯️
