After finally running the numbers I’m realizing that charging an EV at home would be less than 1/4 of the cost of gas for my car (Subaru Crosstrek)… if gas ever got back down to $3/gallon. The difference is almost comical at current prices.

So I guess I’m in the market for an EV.

It just occurred to me that Pragmata’s hacking running in realtime with the combat reminds me a bit of The World Ends With You. I can’t remember the last game I played that pulled off having such an attention-splitting mechanic like this since TWEWY.

Didn't get as much time in Pragmata tonight as I'd hoped but I did at least connect the Steam Deck to the TV. I can stream from my PC quite well with both hardwired to the router; image quality is mostly great and virtually no lag.

Effectively played through the demo section again and it's so good.

All I’ll say is, paradoxically, it’s not the end of the game. Push through the epilogue to get to chapter 3. It’ll make more sense by the end of the epilogue… hopefully.

For what it’s worth that part had me ready to quit. I had to take a break for a few days before pressing on, but it was worth it.

It may be my strong anti-genAI stance showing, but I honestly can't quite see it. I may just be a victim of "Poe's law" here; I'd be fine with being proven wrong since I do try to assume better intentions where possible.

Dammit, I think it's a bot. Looking closer at their posts/replies after my kneejerk reaction shows some very consistent tendencies.

At least that answers my question how my post was so misunderstood. I need to do better at these things, kind of embarrassing I took that comment so seriously.

I bring this up because it was revealed so long ago that this was clearly a recent change that a potential customer may not be aware of. Especially since that reveal was so well-made that the team clearly didn't need to use genAI to conceptualize what an AI-made world could look like.
