Most of the primary rust work on the tractor body has been done. Need to take it back a bit in places and then create some highlights and shadows. Next will be streaking, oil and rainwater runoff.

Most of the paint layer removal has been completed. Now onto adding the decals to match the damaged paint, then work on the underside to add all the engine grime, then it’s rusting and overall weathering.

I got this exact set through the Amazon Vine program to do a review of. They’re really nice for dry brushing, but I did find they moulted a bit, so it’s a good idea to rub them on a towel or a scrap piece of plastic a few times to knock out the loose bristles.

One of my all-time favourite albums. The Richard Button intro is absolute perfection.

Today I started experimenting with adding rust to one of the covers using AK Interactive Crusted Rust Deposits, then adding a little Valejo Rust pigment powder. Very happy with the results. I’ve not tried this technique before.

Last week I worked on some of the removal of the paint layers which are on top of the chipping layer to only about 10% done so far but the paint is coming away nicely and the various tones of blue are providing a feeling of age and wear.

It was awful. A totally unnecessary remake. Some parts were scene-for-scene taken from the film. Casting was dreadful. Paul Bettany was comparable to F Murray Abraham’s Salieri, but that was it. Just another example of the Gen-Arse enshittification of classics.
