Oh, did I misread that? I'm going to take this down until I clarify their policy.

Online campaigns in Taiwan are attacking potential future Indian migrant workers as sex offenders. In fact, the ones at greatest risk of being abused in this scenario are the migrant workers themselves, but Taiwanese have shown very little concern for their safety and wellbeing.
It's one of the main reasons why I host triptych.oxus.net on Ghost.
The other is that I like their user interface. Customer service is good too. Not free, though. Fortunately, I have just enough paying subscribers to cover the cost, even though Triptych is free.
Ezra Klein: "The Israel that young people know is not the Israel that older people remember"
It is actually. If they don't remember it that way, it is because they didn't want to know.
This is what the internet is for!
“The information sought by the government in no way pertains to customs or importing or exporting merchandise, and is clearly intended to chill free speech.”
It’s worse: AI slop.

We're on strike! Don't visit propublica.org on April 8
We’re on strike today! Support our fight for a fair contract by NOT visiting the @propublica.org website or engaging with ProPublica stories today.
Tell ProPublica’s management you won’t cross the picket line: actionnetwork.org/petitions/te...
there's apparently tons of AI hallucinated fake references in this too. sigh.
Israel violated the previous ceasefire over 15,000 times in 13 months so we should expect them to violate this one, what, 500 times in 2 weeks?
I'm happy to let Trump declare victory in the face of defeat if it helps avert a catastrophe. Hell, I'd even give him the Nobel Peace Prize if he wants it. A small price to pay . . .
I wish our politicians could get 1/10th as upset about an unprovoked war and the threat of genocide as they got when Biden wanted to forgive student debt.
Looking forward to picking @leelajacinto.bsky.social's mind about Iran.
"The US spent an estimated $28.7 billion in the first two weeks of the Iran War, or $2.1 billion a day on average. "

A lot of programs facing cuts aren't listed yet. If your program has faced cuts, consider adding it for greater visibility.
Bush and Cheney's motivations in the war on Iraq were cynical but legible. What is happening now seems capricious and unintelligible.
As usual, he avoids looking at the actual evidence and devotes himself to smearing the messengers because of their affiliations. (No disclosing of his own affiliations, of course.)
Vijay Prashad has a long piece devoted to Xinjiang genocide denialism in the latest Monthly Review. This is useful, because I can now see which of my contacts are campist idiots and block them.
I forgot to say that in addition to blowing up the protection deal the Trump people provided only a 7-day window for public comment. Please consider putting yourself on record. Go to eplanning.blm.gov/Project-Home... and click on "participate now." You must do this before April 7.
One reason why Vienna has such excellent housing policies is that the wealthy benefit from them as well. (You aren't forced to move out when you start earning more money.)

I need a "negative shopping list." Something like, "Don't buy any more toilet paper, we have too much already."
The Threads algorithm seems to reward people for writing clickbait-style posts, which makes the site much worse than it would be otherwise.
In Mandarin, the word for opossum,負鼠, does not actually translate literally as “negative rat,” but you could try it if you wanted to
"Increasingly the US is not so much the gatekeeper of the world’s only energy system, but the paranoid guardian of an ailing oil order that is rapidly losing primacy."
"It is a moral imperative for members of the US military to leave their jobs as soon as they are able to do so. The reason for this is simple: They have a bad boss and he is making them do bad things."
Normalize blocking people because they are mean, are aggressively and willfully uninformed, refuse to read clear prose, are boring, or look at you cross-eyed.
