Henry and Rachel are a great team and Death to Pachuco is a great comic!
"I had no idea my narrator was going to start breaking the fourth wall like that. And when that started to happen, my editor and I, we actually had a nickname for her. We called her Rogue Honey Badger Narrator." www.pbs.org/video/tessa-... #feedingghosts #comicsculture @profdollard.bsky.social

Anyone other than the late Robert Reed is the wrong answer.
If you like V for Vendetta, Andor, Image's Ice Cream Man, the works of Harlan Ellison, conspiracy theories, and a lot of other cool stuff, then this is the book you've been waiting for!
Nurse Paprika
Dr. Pepper has a degree in classical literature and yet still made a delightful prune soda.
I thought they had a solid and fun run. They reset somethings, did a few “edgy” 90s things, but in the end, just good comics. Don’t expect more than that, and you’ll enjoy yourself.
I've been in stores that sell comics untagged/boarded and have bags/boards by the register for sale. I guess I need to get out more.
Plaid Patches, man of action.
Super Powers series 1, issue 1. No better read than the comic that got you hooked as a kid home sick with the flu.
Such a beautiful film in every possible way. The acting, the cinematography, the story...Never fails to hit all the right emotional chords.
I treat those commenters to an overly polite, yet clearly like I’m speaking to an idiot, reply. I explain things as if I don’t get their snark and take it at face value. In the end, they usually feel like they’ve done something wrong and apologize. YMMV
In their defense, we will ever know what it’s like to be the bad man, the sad man, behind blue eyes? I think he worked for Sinatra.
While my Garage Gently Leaks and Helena Ribley.
I’m bringing back blue book in class essays. There’s no excuse to not learn and there’s no excuse for not teaching the right way.
Nothing is for everyone. I absolutely loved it and saw it twice. But I can’t make it through the first few minutes of the Godfather before turning it off.
Man, I love Gilligan!
I went to a comic shop yesterday. I don’t go often because I live hours away. They charged me for the board and bag the comic was sold in. Is this normal?
It's the dream we all dream, and then one day, you're department chair. Enjoy the ride!
