We're all fucking scared as shit and trying to nut harder than ever at the same time. Take care of each other and let yourself be cared for.

Someone "older than you" who has been out for 2 years only knows what the first two years are like, same as I only know about the first 10. Being a trans woman does not mean you owe 100% openness with every single trans woman.

I think the boundary thing is the hardest for people to learn. I hear from a LOT of people who talk about how they're burnt out from feeling like that being trans means they owe everyone full openness at all time and they really need to hear from someone older who says that is not the case.

I've screwed up a lot. I've hurt people. I've been hurt. I've made friends and been weird to them and lost them. I'm nowhere near perfect and the things I'd do differently can never be done differently, so I'll do the next thing differently. Keep each other alive over anything else.

Be nice. Just be fucking kind and thoughtful. Give as much as you can and take as much as you need. Cut people off if they're bad for you and remember that they're also probably fucking suffering. There's a 60% chance everyone you meet knows your ex, even in different cities. Don't do it alone.

I'm ten years in and still learning and reinventing myself. Get some good friends who will keep you afloat that also won't just tell you what you want to hear. Realize that you're a whole ass person with more to offer than just trans. You won't ever know everything and everyone won't love you.
