He’s in extended. Will start again in ACL. Still building back strength and bat speed from the wrist injuries. Jesús Cano reported some progress on that recently.

No he started the spring a little behind and was left in camp until he’s ready to go. He should be in Eugene when he’s activated

New Season, new pod! I talked with Maui Ahuna, Scott Bandura, and manager Dennis Pelfrey yesterday at Media Day at the gorgeous new CarMax Park. open.substack.com/pub/rogermun...

Scott Bandura just hit a 2-0 slider into oblivion. Including Spring Breakout, I’ve seen him play about 12 total innings this spring and he’s crushed two HR, hit a 113 mph double off the top of CF wall, and ripped a triple off 96 mph fb. Bandy Breakout coming.

17-year-old Luis Hernandez now gets to go up against a guy with MLB experience throwing sliders in the 90s. Should be interesting

On the bright side, Bo Davidson's ground out to end the inning was hit 110 mph and Dakota Jordan had a hard hit single as well

Tough start to the Spring Breakout game for Giants. After a blown call, Keyner Martinez gave up a bomb of a two-run HR off his changeup, and had a lot of hard contact. Giants went down in order T1 including an automatic strike three to leadoff hitter Trevor Cohen

Time for a little video from the past couple of days at Papago while waiting for the Spring Breakout game to start.

Here's two great ABs from OF Scott Bandura resulting in 113 mph 2b off CF wall and 113 mph HR traveling over 450 feet at end of an 8-pitch at bat.

Luis Hernandez Open Side AB ST 2026

Some open faced swings from Luis Hernandez in Giants' minor league camp today. Simple, balanced swing with minimal moving parts, really gets his hands to every part of the zone well.

A little Josuar fielding action from today for your viewing pleasure

Josuar Gonzalez left game in minor league camp today walking a bit gingerly after stealing a base. Tweaked something in left quad/hammy area. Didn’t seem serious but w Spring Breakout game just three days away could be unfortunate timing. Hopefully not

I’m not sure about two from the draft being Top 100. Their second pick isn’t until 55. Possible they can float a pretty nice pick there but it’s not going to be somebody who jumps onto anybody’s top 100

Having a grandfather who's in the bluegrass HOF and an uncle who's a Grammy winning country guitarist probably helps. But really, NOVA is plenty country music inclined.

Very excited for a lot of guys who have worked hard to get to point of big league camp invites. I know both Bednar and Harris told me they were really hoping! And kids like Sanchez, Bericoto have had a very long road to get here. Congrats to all!

The cognitive dissonance between Sutter Health Park's park factor reputation as a minor league park and it's park factor reputation as major league park, is one of the few truly delightful consequences of the A's move.
