I also get it was a particularly messy ending in the manga and trying to keep enough of the diehard fans happy with fan service they wanted but also juggling how the ending was not the best and their limited time frame probably made everything 10x harder to “solve”
I’m grateful we got a full adaption though don’t get me wrong!
The teams working on it are very talented all around from the animators to voice actors to composers etc. Nothing but praise for everybody. I guess I just was hoping for either a massive change from the manga or a complete divergence
