I really miss when the internet was exclusively for people who can read and write.
Of course. Simply saying “AI” is too broad and creates unnecessary pushback. Computing has always has some form of AI.
Consumer generative AI is a very specific thing that’s caused a vast and seemingly irreversible disruption to our basic cognition and I’m genuinely worried about it.

Now it feels like you’re being actively encouraged to do it.
I’ve still yet to see a use for consumer generative AI that hasn’t ultimately been for the purpose of deception. Isn’t that a really big problem?

This last week has been a social media all timer.
I’ve always had a bit of faith in humanity, but this is the first time in my life that I might be willing to settle into the idea that we are cooked.
Objective truth and critical thought seem to have no reach anymore.

This only happened to me one other time, back when I was an AUDIO guy.
I thought this said “the opera has performed in space since 1971” and briefly considered that I was unaware of galactic entertainment for far longer than I should’ve been.
I got the X-Men one
I mean the movies are all the same basic premise, right? Spend 2/3s of the film establishing why humans need to die and then spend the final 1/3 killing them.
This one just took the most time to do it.
I cannot stress enough how long this movie is. 3 hours and 17 minutes is pretty insane.
I liked Avatar: Fire & Ash but it was also very long and basically the same plot as the other two.
But overall, it’s very enjoyable and I still care about all of the characters and the series is overall an achievement.
But man is it long.

It occurred to me earlier tonight that I’ve been at every AEW PPV in this building. I sat in this very seat for the first All Out at the then-Sears Center and tonight, we present World’s End from a completely sold out NOW Arena.
Can’t wait.
Wife and kids got me these for Christmas. Third time in my life I’ve owned a complete Megazord (original 93, Legacy, and now Re-Ignition) though this one looks bigger than my other two by a lot.
