From Lake County Democrats to all: Happy Earth Day. We are all connected on one planet. Let's remember that in whatever we do the other days of the year.
Posts by Lake County Democrats
Yesterday evening, the Lake County Democrats gathered for our biennial convention and elected Daniel Didech as Chair and Laura Faver Dias as First Vice Chair. Lake Dems are unified, fired up, and ready to work together to flip even more seats this year!
March NO KINGS was a national day of action, and we showed up all over locally. Lake County has rejected Trump time and time again -- and we're not backing down any time soon.
Trump continues to be a disaster who thinks he can do whatever he wants. In March, Lake Dems joined numerous groups across the area, stood up, and said, “NO KINGS!” Whether you were in Gurnee, Highland Park, Buffalo Grove, Wauconda, or another nearby protest, THANK YOU.
If you're a middle-class American playing by the rules, Donald Trump isn't looking out for you.
Because of Donald Trump and Republican politicians, the American people feel worse about the economy than ever. That's sad for the country, a bad sign for the future, and something voters will not forget this November. www.cnn.com/2026/04/10/e...
Lake Dems wishes a very Happy Easter to all who are celebrating in our area and beyond.
Chag Sameach! Happy Passover to all who celebrate!
On Transgender Day of Visibility, let's stand together for those in our trans community to be able to be their true selves, even as others work against them.
Our Lake Dems Chair @laurenbethgash.bsky.social is on the host committee for this event tonight -- the 4th Annual Lawyers for Personal PAC. If you want to help elect pro-choice Democrats in Illinois, check it out: secure.ngpvan.com/DaFqZYQpQkq_...

As Ramadan comes to an end, Lake Dems wishes Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating Eid al-Fitr.
We're proud of our Democratic values and the candidates who put themselves forward to run -- and we'll keep working to connect with voters.
On to November!
Our next step is to move forward together to elect Democrats up and down the ballot this fall. By contrast, the Lake County Republicans couldn't even find anyone to run in the primary in a tremendous amount of local races. We Democrats have come so far here in Lake County.
There is so much going on around the world and right here in our own backyard. It's easy to be overwhelmed and check out. But you stepped up in your own ways, because you know how much is at stake, and we're very grateful. (cont'd)
The Democratic primary election is in the books. Thank you to all -- voters, supporters, Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega and his team, volunteers (and our hardworking Tenth Dems/Lake Dems Election Protection Team), and the candidates -- for making our democracy work. (cont'd)
Happy St. Patrick's Day (and Election Day)!
