That is exactly the point. I would only administer vasopressin in situations of refractory hypotension with low svr. But as always it depends on context and the actual patient.

And keep in mind that elevating SVR can lower CI and CO. It is possible to kill a patient with high dose nor mono therapy. Especially in heart failure with low EF.
