Its one thing to try and control emotions. Shove them away, ignore them. But being ok to acknowledge them and let them pass is powerful and effective. I got up after a moment and continued on. Modified of course. The instructor knew what I was on and supported me. Just as simple as can be.
My pulse was racing - it felt like could have burst through my skin. I stumbled and started to panic. The instructor came over and was super supportive. I was in tears, and all that was said was "Son't be sad. Wait, no, cry, cry if you need to" and it in that moment it made me feel better.
I'm on new meds for ADHD. Today was the first day I tried more rigorous exercises. I tried a group class and I was pumped. As soon as the cardio elements came in, my pulse raced. Almost blacked out. I've done varsity sport and cardio before. But not with meds like this.

30 years!! That's amazing! I've only been playing for 12 years and DMing 6 of them. You'd have so much insight and experience! It's tough to take that first step! I certainly was when I started and it never has gone away. I just mix in my confidence that I can do it rather than ignore it.
Also another cool #dnd moment today. Last week, I saw a group about to finish Rise of Tiamat. I could not let the group finish today without having a Tiamat mini. Support other groups where you can.
