The school holiday has finally arrived in Sussex along with a majestic pink moon. Hopefully this augurs well for us down here and those going up there.

Happy Christmas from the seaside!
Happy Christmas everyone!
My mother was the first one to tell me about planned obsolescence, but we were talking about appliances!
Yes! We love it.
Incredible weather for March! Hate to boast but this is twenty minutes from our front door.
It's so warm I'm going to be able to do some marking and planning in the garden this afternoon. @scriptwren.bsky.social
Been away for a while. Will try to pop back more often this year.
Had a fab weekend in London with friends.
This was one of many highlights.
🎵Sound on!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight.
Posting about this belatedly, but Ballet Shoes at the National is an absolute joy. So, so much to enjoy - captivating, magical staging and direction, memorable performances and a satisfying, updated narrative.
Magical!

The scene just down the road, this afternoon.

A walk down the road from our new house, this afternoon. As someone who grew up as a land-locked Midlander, moving to the seaside carries its own particular novelty and charm.
We made it - clashing green tops and all! Lots of unpacking but it's all so wonderful to be in our own place.
Moving house tomorrow! Feel a mix of relief, excitement and nervous anticipation.
Bexhill here we come!
Fine, pastry based insights here. This is very on-brand and I 'm right here for it.
As Judy Garland once sang:
"Somewhere over the rainbow,
Weigh a pie..."
It became very turbulent at the end of the process, but @scriptwren.bsky.social and I exchanged contracts on our seaside home yesterday.
Moving next Thursday!
Oh the humanity!
They look delicious!
Can't believe we got there after such a difficult few weeks.
I am so looking forward to our seaside life together.
Bemused by the way some seasoned commentators have lost their minds over the #Jaguar rebranding.
Jag buyers were exclusively over 60, and getting older. Think of Jaguar - you see Arthur Daley, Inspector Morse and Nigel Farage.
The brand has ten years left (at best!) so has to find a new identity.
Name a show you're positive no one remembers but you.
I'm sorry, but
BLOODY HELL.
Majorca - 1992.
My Point Break / Wonderstuff era.
Metropolis.
This is wonderfully open and loving - your dad would be proud.
Been listening to #thearchers on catch up. Hell's teeth. What on earth was going on with the Justin / Scrooge storyline last week? And why in mid-November?
Perhaps there's more to come - where he reverts to his normal self by Christmas to install a industrial turkey farm on the Ambridge Rewilding.
I have a horrible feeling that he's going to be our version of Trump in four years time - he's edging closer to a mainstream political role as his TV career bottoms out.
He shares many of Trump's qualities - not least his sense of grandstanding contrarianism, bullying humour and TV charisma.
Big thanks to someone on my Facebook feed who has just put the major spoilers from Gladiator II straight into their comments tonight without any warning or consideration.
Honestly....
No detail, obvs - but I have just seen an email (sent at night!) from a secondary Head to a distraught HOD that beggars belief. (Head responding to a difficult parental call.)
* Pugnacious, rude tone
* Blame and buck passing
* Demand for action by tomorrow
Some SLT are monsters.

Mrs. Miracle is the Citizen Kane of the Hallmark Christmas movie genre. The sequel is very nearly as good, too.
