Here's the alt text for the image: A close-up of a scene from a pixelated role-playing video game. Two small, cartoonish figures stand on a stone bridge or platform against a backdrop of a dark, mountainous landscape under a twilight sky. The figure on the left has brown hair and wears red and dark blue clothing, holding a sword. The figure on the right has bright orange hair and wears blue and orange clothing, also holding a sword. Above them, a text box with a dark background and yellow lettering reads: "I will have nothing left if you take the word 'adventure' from my life." Below the game scene, a status bar displays information for "PLAYER" and "ENEMY" with "HIT POINT 255/255," "RING 041," "EXP. POINT 65535," and "GOLD 01219" visible. The overall aesthetic is reminiscent of 16-bit era console games.
Ancient wisdom from the SNES game "Wanderers from YS III"
Every few years I get nostalgic and fire up "Wanderers From Ys III"
IDK what happened to my old SNES, "Brother Noah(?) did you take it?" β alot of nostalgia in those old boxes
After Agahnim took over, everyone began to act stranyely.
Gratitude cards I received for helping fund a Phenology project at Great Expectations School in Grand Marias.

Robinson's "Infinite" book series when I was processing my 2019 mental health crisis. Somehow, reading about "Laser Chicken & Demon Dog" helped alot in "The Dark".
Now, shortly after putting to sleep our 21yr old ACD and adopting a 3yr old ACD β I'm processing that with the Good Boys book series. π
You'll notice what side of the hatchback barrier he is on β he started on the other side of it.
I've been working to resurrect my old blog; this post was just republished today.

Bear in unfinished shed - June 2022, East Cook County, MN
Note: I goofed on framing this door... it's missing proper jack studs... but in reality, it's not a big deal for a shed, and IIRC I added jack studs before installing the door.

Tipi style hot tent, February 2025, Hovland, Minnesota
Setting the tipi up on a deck that has 1/8" gaps between the decking actually worked great as it allowed for cold air to fall out of the tent and trapped the warm air from the wood stove.

I don't even know what to say. I'm sorry to hear that, and hopefully, the courts or Congress intervene.

Maybe you'all should actually start acting like the opposition party and not respond with stuff like "we are going to have an emergency meeting about this at 1pm tomorrow"

Yeah, that's a good pointβif a person is getting meaning from employing the capital from a meaningless job to charitable stuff.
I do the same... I am vocal about my support of teachers through DonorsChoose and leveraging matching programs for that, but there are a handful of others that I support.
I don't understand that mindset.
I've met so many people who continue to work after they have accumulated more than enough wealth to retire and still be increasing their net worth while maintaining their lifestyle.
It's damn near impossible for me to have a theory of mind for those people.
Depending on how old he is when we got him (estimated 6 to 9 years), and we have had him for close to 16 years. Basically, yeah. π
It's a ruff job, but someone has to do it.
(Be 20+yrs old, sleep 20hrs, occasionally pee on the floor) π
I'd be sleeping 20hrs a day if I was more like my dog π

Happy BWCA Wilderness permit day
(...to those who celebrate)
The top half of the square photo is blue sky with puffy white clouds. The center is verdant green boreal forest which is primarily spruce and balsam on the horizon with willow, alder, and dogwood towards the center. The bottom is a pond which is reflecting the sky and horizon. Foreground has dogwood and birch branches.
The seasonal pond where most of my trail camera Moose pictures come from. Spring 2024, Hovland
