🐾 Good news for pet owners! Vet prescription fees will soon be capped at £21!

Vets will also have to clearly show their prices, & any treatment over £500 must come with a written estimate (including follow‑up care). Practices will need to state whether they’re independent or part of a larger chain.

⛽ As I’ve repeatedly raised the unfair fuel prices across Merthyr Tydfil in Parliament, I strongly welcome the Chancellor’s clear message today that this government will not tolerate price gouging.

This is exactly the action our community needs.

The battle for Britain in the years ahead is between a modern, diverse Britain led by Labour or a dark, divisive Britain under Reform.

All of us in the Labour Party must get behind the Prime Minister, rise to the challenge and deliver a richer, fairer and stronger future.

This is another disappointment for the town centre.

We’ll be writing to Santander, but there are other building societies and banks in the town, and we encourage people to support companies who support our communities.

Today we remember the six million Jews, and all victims of the Holocaust and genocides around the world. May their memory guide us as we continue to challenge hatred.

We will remember them.

Today is #WhiteRibbonDay. This year’s theme: #WeSpeakUp – because silence is never an option.

Ignoring harmful behaviour lets abuse thrive. Speak up. Set the example.

🗣 Take the pledge: “I pledge never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.”
