Comparison of before and after screenshot of the shooting game. In before image there's default skybox and white base without any environment, while in second there are clifs and rocks along with some atmospheric effects. Gun is different in new one as well.

Some say it's too cliche, but I just couldn't think of better idea. Character position is static in game, so having dynamic jump/shoot pose just didn't worked in my head.

I vote for the third one in the top row.

Only problem I see with almost all of these is that you are suggesting oval shape on the top while making it flat at the bottom, that confuses the eye. Shape on the bottom needs to match shape on the top, regardless of how circular it is.

I ask myself, what kind of small game I would like to play, since that would probably be the best kind of game to create and enjoy.
