My attempt to order a new dishwasher to be installed and the old one hauled away is turning into a saga worthy of the maggid section of my Seder.

If you remember the first time you left home, you’ll find Scout’s Austin summer warm, honest, and sometimes sharp as a state lawmaker's tongue. Share this with the friend who left for college in the 60s. #ComingSoon #DebutNovel #JewishAuthor #ComingOfAge #Americana #Literary #HistoricalFiction

And there’s a problem with your Ngram search. Both “the backseat” and “a backseat” could very well be used as an adjective in a longer phrase.
I impose “back seat” as a noun and “backseat” as an adjective. (As much as I impose anything.) “Backseat” makes as much sense to me as a closed compound noun as “wisdomtooth.” #EditorLife
You know, apropos of nothing.

Do I have time for this training right now? I do not. Did I sign up for it at the last minute? Of course I did! Because I’m crazy, and because Pat Dobie and EditorialArts Academy are awesome!

Love this song, and this is a good version. But I will never understand why Christians think it’s a Christmas song!

Oh, well, I’m obviously a sleepy old bear who lives in a mossy, haunted cottage with my pets—two weird logs—and my life is devoted to a murky & mysterious pond.
Damn, @edmondsscanner.bsky.social, I’ve had a very overwhelming day and was just about to break out the wine! Better make it a white.
