Day 3 of the series no one asked for: plant inventory from someone who refuses to learn the names of her plants.
This is my baby peppy gony as I call it. About 3 yrs old. Birthed some babes that were given up for adoption. I'll give her an 8/10. Easy, shiny, knows she's that girl.

Fiddle leaf fig plant in a large clay pot
My fiddle friend. Never been a problem child. Probably in too big of a pot. Maybe 5-6 years old? One of the plants I've seen go from loved to hated to trendy to basic. No idea what the popular opinion is now but it's a 7.5/10 from me. Easy, big, reliable, low maintenance.
Welcome home, diva! Went to the store for wood glue & stepped up by rescuing this cutie w her cutie hanger. I have no idea how I'm going to know when to water because I can't really see the root situation but that's a problem for another day.
I've been quoted in the NYT, WashPo, all the big VA outlets. I say with complete sincerity that Waste Advantage Magazine on mattress epr feels like a career highlight.

Adventure weekend with my adventure buddy! Highly recommend VA State Park cabins for a winter weekend getaway. Even better: a dark sky state park like Staunton River.
I knew I saw this somewhere before. Funny that it’s almost exactly what’s actually happening now.
olympics on the mind
When I would rollerblade to work in college, I'd imagine figure skating routines to Sail by AWOLNATION. 15 yrs later, someone just used the song in the olympics!! I feel seen but ngl I think the flow of my imaginary routine was better.
Y'all, I've always been sooo intimidated by orchids but your girl did it! We got year 2 blooms people!!!!!
Ugh I'm so proud of me
Honestly I feel so lucky to be as prepared and okay as we are. Even with a broken washing machine all week, no water today, cancelled buses, etc etc, the worst part has been not getting to walk miss Magnolia much. Our walks truly are the best part of my day.
I grew up in MN and Chicago. College in Vermont. Learned to figure skate before I could walk. This ice nightmare is truly the worst/least manageable winter situation I've experienced. And I have a pick axe.
I think imma skip #rva January next yr. 2025, no water. 2026, ice hell. 2027, uninterested.
RIP Bob. I'm so bummed! It's hard to describe the impact he and the rest of the dead have had on the trajectory of my life. Its why I named my best pal after one of my favorite Weir written dead songs: Sugar Magnolia. Thank you for the music, the good times, the community & the sunshine daydreams.
We don't talk enough about how @bowlerobowl.bsky.social has ruined bowling in RVA. I miss Bowl America in the east end every single day.
For Christmas, I asked for a greenhouse/plant nursery outing and a wawa coffee. Truly the gift that keeps giving. I love my new friends so much.
Also important: am I about to get a successful year 2 orchid bloom on my first try?!?!
My favorite part of winter is sunrise hikes with my special gal.
Chemical recycling is touted as a miracle solution to the plastic waste crisis. In July, intern Carol Li wrote that it’s not actually recycling – it’s a rebranded version of incineration, and it poses serious risks to our health and environment. frontiergroup.org/articles/che...

#survivor49 finale thoughts:
1. Awesome winner, total warrior
2. Kristina's question was super valid. Sophi mouthed the names. It shows different strengths and Savannahs other ones made up for it and that's cool. Know your jury!!
3. I loved Rizo and hate that enthusiasm and joy seen as annoying.
Yesssss!! I love the barrels. I think they did them last year and idk why but I'm a big barrel fan #survivor49
Magnolia says: we love you! Sending puppy cuddles your way :)

Pay more for expensive fossil fuel projects, political contributions, and utility lobbying expenses****
Is it a #valeg session if someone doesn't try to repeal Virginia's bipartisan ban on foam cups and take out containers though?? Excited to defend this popular, impactful law for the 5th year in a row! #FoamFreeVA #WildlifeOverWaste
Wow, the chemicals in this product only cause cancer and birth defects in California!
For real though, I'm very grateful for CA's impact on the supply chain and consumer protection.

Did you know 10 trillion preproduction plastic pellets enter the ocean every year? Simply put: this is industry litter that we pay to facilitate whenever we buy anything with plastic.
Plastics are problematic at every stage of life-- long before consumers ever touch them.
The insurance industry has stepped up efforts to limit future payouts over for petrochemical disasters, following a record judgment by Sri Lanka’s supreme court over the world’s biggest recorded plastic spill. on.ft.com/4n49rvU
