Well at least now I can fly my drones without having to know where the local gestapo happens to be harassing people or just getting coffee...
Much respect to those that went to court to battle this crap!

Saw Project Hail Mary today, great movie and I recommend it especially for those that didn't want all the science.
I read the book as well and it was the one thing that was missing for the movie... I'm a science nerd, if you are as well read the book! You wont be sorry! #BookSky
Good talk on something that's always been in the back of most programmers'minds. Worth a listen no matter there you are in life

Spot on, well worth a read.
As someone who works on the latest LTS of Java, this was a great way to catch-up on the latest. So many new ideas!

One month free of Amazon Prime and I didn't even notice it was missing! It feels good.
I hope more people will cancel their Amazon Prime accounts.
I've been meaning to read this for a couple decades... No.better Time than now with the #indieweb the book club!

I'm traveling so I can't really dive deep on the HOPE/St. John's situation but Robert nails it
Right? Between ICE and the thought police it just reinforces anything presented on that table in question!
Absolutely agree! I picked up some good reading there. Honesty if an ACAB sticker or pamphlet can hurt feelings then perhaps reflecting on why that opinion is being put forth, is in order? Asking too much in this Sunday and age though
I know exactly what table and pamphlet they're referring to... If a university can't support any group quietly promoting an opinion with a printed zine, they are NOT a university. This is not a place that promotes an open discussion of ideas. Disagreement and debate are a part of an academic env.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.
They are not the same.

I have the same optimism I bring to every large company buying up open source... Very low. Sure Arduino will remain the same for a while but corporate enshitification is nearly inevitable... I mean I might be more optimistic if it wasn't a US company.. idk. #rip

I had a feeling this was going to be the result of Google "protecting" everyone with the developer registration plan... Another door will close

I added an old school GuestBook to my blog today. Feeling super nostalgic but also it feels like another little stop to taking back the internet!

This mug speaks to me ... Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to me, thank you for the mug, you weirdos
I'm pretty unhappy about this Google approved developer plan they have announced. Preventing side-loading means governments can control what you load as well. I'm fairly sure this will negatively impact F-droid usage as well...

Regarding the tragic death of Adam Raine, there are already narratives forming that blame vague "dangers of AI" or a broader moral panic.
But this is not a story about the faceless perils of superintelligence. It's about a $500 billion tech company's core software product encouraging child suicide.
Wow I just setup a cloudflare tunnel to my new server and now I have a public gitea server without all the trouble of configuring ports etc. then hoping I didn't leave the backdoor wide-open. This really makes self-hosting a low stress inducing activity! And you get TLS in the deal.

Oh perfect testing ground for AI.. always best to test on people with no rights so you can master its use before inflicting it on those considered "free".
Ohh, I need a new hoodie.. and just in time for fall!π
