This week I'm not bringing the weekly practice project. This week I dedicated a bit of time to an occasional project I have. A simple virtual whiteboard that lets you draw, paste images, use a transparent background, quickly add text and some more functions. Like the other, it's in #Godot.

I just opened my second Godot issue 😆 Probably related to Linux as well, though I'm not completely sure. Let's see how things unfold! And thanks to @frankdps.bsky.social for helping me investigate it 🫶

Week 5:This week I didn't have time to devote to it, so I kept it simple. Jump now depends on how long the button is held, and the character sticks to walls for opposite jumps. Still need to tweak forces and add wall animations.

Any suggestions to add for next week?

Week 4: Here are the attack animations for sword & bow states. No health/damage system yet, it's only visual but it’s already set for future integration. Transition animations added. Does it feel smoother?

What system should I develop next?

This is a project to practice Godot and pixel art. I add new mechanics and features every week. Initially, it wasn’t meant to be a finished game, but I’ll see where it goes😄

It's not final yet. When I started, I needed something basic for the character, so I began with a rectangle. Then I added shapes and animations, and I like the result. I'm doing all this to practice Godot and pixel art.

Week 3: I worked on setting up a simple camera that follows the designated object and moves toward the corners as the mouse approaches. Next week, I'll implement an attack system at @dekotale.bsky.social request. What else can I add?

Week Two: I built a state machine, since the idea is to implement all kinds of mechanics. I thought it was best to continue with this to have better control over the character's states and to create something I can apply to any other idea What should I add next week?

First week of this 'Project' The idea is to practice #Godot and #PixelArt creating a simple mechanic or adding something to this project every week. The goal is not to make it a final game, just to add things to practice

Week 1: set up the project, create basic sprites and implement basic movement

I have several ideas for the coming weeks, but any ideas are welcome.

Some time ago, I posted an image of a magical book I was working on for a game with @dekotale.bsky.social Now, as I want to start posting on BlueSky again, I'm sharing the animations of that book.
