Agree on the difficulties of this when living on your own. The flaking means more alone time, not chilling at home with partner, kids, housemates etc … love my alone time but sometimes a flake out can turn a weekend into an unplanned social hiatus!

We evacuated but have a live camera by a little fountain. Each time we check, we hope it’s not engulfed in flames. Many have not had the luck we have had so far.

This camera is catching many birds and some squirrels, rinsing off the ash and smoke, chirping and chattering. It’s the little things.
